in a Roman villa from the 1st century BC. At the time, it was one of the largest villas in northern Gaul. Two excavation campaigns (in 1891 and in 1991) revealed a main building (104 m long by 30 m wide) and several outbuildings. It was probably the fertile soil and the strategic location of the place that attracted first the Gauls and then the Romans to Malagne.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-cbceccd\" data-block-id=\"cbceccd\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">A visit to Malagne is definitely <strong>an educational and entertaining visit<\/strong>: &nbsp;ancient breeds, vegetable garden, cereal farming, orchard, apiary, aromatic and medicinal plants&#8230; In their workshops, the site experiments with ancient techniques linked to working with earth and fire.
