For 2025, Rochefort is coming with a brand new initiative that will delight lovers of artisanal creations and local products. Les Echoppes du Rire is setting up shop in the heart of the city for a first edition not to be missed.

This event will take place on Saturday, May 31st, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the center of Rochefort during the last weekend of the Festival International du Rire de Rochefort. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover local talent in a festive atmosphere.

Are you a local artisan, designer, or producer? This is the ideal opportunity to showcase your creations and share your passion with a wide audience. This craft market will showcase your authenticity, your expertise, and a diversity of local products.

The farm includes 140 hectares of permanent grassland and a herd of cattle. Today, Jean-Charles, Igor and Pedro manage the entire farm, namely the breeding of Salers, the production of vegetables, Duroc pigs, Ardennes sheep and laying hens.

The Rochefort Trappist is an authentic Trappist beer brewed at Notre-Dame Abbey in Saint-Rémy. We have been brewing at the abbey since 1595.

There are four types of Trappist beers from Rochefort. Three (6, 8 and 10) are high fermentation brown beers. The fourth is a triple blonde beer.

Unfortunately, the Abbey of Rochefort cannot be visited. However, you can buy beers directly on site or in the various shops in the city center.

Made with fresh milk straight from the farm, Rochefort cheeses come in several varieties. They are always shaped, uncast, rubbed by hand.

The Mathot family business has also been producing various butters since 1948 with respect for traditions and family knowledge.

There are no sales on site. You can find Rochefort cheese in several shops in the city.
